HB Racing switches to Ferrari in ADAC GT Masters

After two years of competing with the Lamborghini Huracán GT3, HB Racing switches to the Ferrari 488 GT3 for the 2018 ADAC GT Masters season. The change of brand by the team from Neumarkt (Austria) means the comeback of Ferrari in the German “League of super sport-cars”, where no Ferrari-cars have started since 2012. The team will announce its drivers later but promises at least one powerful duo of professional drivers.

Successful weekend for HB Racing: In Zandvoort (NL) the team from Austria claimed its first podium-result in the current ADAC GT Masters season. Christopher Zanella (CH) and Florian Spengler (D) showed a flawless performance in the wet race on Sunday and crossed the finish line in third position. Already on the day before the duo had secured a championship point for the tenth position. In the sister car Marco Mapelli (I) and Norbert Siedler (A) suffered from a streak of bad luck.

Engine blow-up forces HB Racing to early retirement at 1000 km race in Le Castellet

The Blancpain Endurance Cup’s third race of the season in Le Castellet (France) started promising for HB Racing. After one hour, the Lamborghini Huracán GT3 shared by Bernard Delhez (B), Mike Stursberg (D) and Gilles Vannelet (F) was covering the second position in its class. HB Racing misses championship-points only narrowly at home race

Just at their home race at Red Bull Ring the HB Racing team missed a point-result for the first time in the current ADAC GT Masters season. A technical issue forced Marco Mapelli (I) and Norbert Siedler (A) to retire while covering a promising position on Saturday. In the second car, Florian Spengler (D) and Christopher Zanella (CH) caused positive emotions by securing their second-best result of the season with the twelvth place on Sunday.
