There was a lot of action at the first Blancpain GT Endurance Race of the season in Monza. After a challenging qualifying, HB Racing could only start the race from position 50. But Bernhard Delhez was able to avoid the crash in the first lap and progressed to P32. After the restart there were still 2:50:12 h to go. Unfortunately more than 12 cars could not participate.

Due to the consistent performance of the Austrian Team with start number 777, Vannelet Gilles secured position 28 overall. This resulted in the second place in the AM Cup! “We are of course very happy with P2 in the AM category! The weekend didn’t start good with the crash during free practice. Also during the race we got pushed off track. To end the race on this position is of course fantastic”, says Dietmar Hirsch. “I want to thank and congratulate Bernhard and Gilles for doing a great job and fighting for this position. I also want to take the time to thank the engineers and mechanics for taking on this challenge. This is how we want to continue next week in Oschersleben for the GT Masters season opening!”.

The team lead by Dietmar Hirsch will be in Oschersleben next week for the season start of the ADAC GT Masters!
